Michelle paula liong

Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London in 2017. She subsequently obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice in 2018. After completing her pupillage, she was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in February 2020 and has been in active practice since then.

Michelle’s practice is primarily focused on general litigation, with a particular emphasis on commercial, construction, and industrial disputes. She has experience of acting in contentious matters at various stages of proceedings, including appellate work. Notably, she successfully represented a client in the Court of Appeal, in which the Court upheld the injunction restraining the call on a RM7.65 million performance bond by dismissing the appeal against the High Court’s decision. She has also acted for employers successfully defending against unfair dismissal claim brought by probationary employees.

Outside of her legal practice, Michelle enjoys going to the gym and playing badminton, helping her to unwind, recharge, and maintain a healthy balance alongside her legal career.
